Background:
Beth Mascott Meltzer, grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and was an active member of Temple Emanuel. During her High School years Beth became active in TEMTY Senior Youth Group and was Religious Chair and songleader. In her Junior year she went to Kutz Camp for songleading and met her future husband Stephen. Beth went to University of Massachusetts in Amherst and graduated in May 1986 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing. Upon graduation Beth worked at several companies in marketing and business. Later, she decided to put her Jewish passion into her career. Her first "Jewish" job was working at the Jewish Community Relations Council. Later, Beth found her real passion working with college students first at MIT Hillel as the Administrator and Development Associate and later at Northeastern University. Beth has been the Hillel Director at Northeastern University for 13 years. Since she has come on board Hillel has grown significantly. In 2001 Northeastern Hillel moved from its old building on Parker to its present building on Saint Stephen Street. Beth lives in Westborough with their dog "Schmutz" Beth loves bicycling, working out at the gym, singing and playing guitar.

Jason Pressberg

Taglit-Birthright Israel Program Associate

Hometown: Yorktown Heights, New York
Background:
Jason comes to Northeastern Hillel after seven years of involvement on other campuses. As an undergraduate at Elon University in North Carolina, Jason became vice-president after completing his first semester. During his sophomore year, Jason went to Israel for the first time on Taglit-Birthright Israel. After graduation, Jason spent two years working for New Orleans Hillel at Tulane University. With a heavy heart, he left New Orleans for the "green pastures" of Harvard University. Now, Jason will recruit, lead and follow through with Northeastern University students who are eligible for Taglit-Birthright Israel, free 10 day trip to Israel. He looks forward to helping NEU students create meaningful Jewish life on campus. In his free time, he enjoys traveling around the world and cycling across America.
